We are going to help them with our organization Support Uganda Foundation. After exchanging knowledge, we are working on several crowdfunding projects to improve our options to help the organizations. As the website of AFAO is still under construction, we try to build a social community here in Uganda with the help of friends.

But we need money to buy food, seeds, poultry and some tools to help the orphanages to reach self-sufficiency and enable them to help their neighborhood as well. We will report about that crowdfunding projects and our plans for a better future here on our website.

The Alliance for Africa’s Orphanages is a Florida non-profit organization which seeks to educate, professionalize and empower small orphanages across Africa. We are waiting for an interview with Arlene Wills Allen about her vision. You will find her facebook page here: Love Mother Africa

The work that Mr. Edward Lukwaya has done is wonderful. He managed to take care for orphans, built and equipped a school with desk and tables with the help of some wonderful people. He has a big heart and is working the whole day to give the children a better future. We hope that we can learn a lot from his work and we want to help him to find more donors.

New day, new organization. The need of support for children especially orphans in Uganda is rising every day. Our network is growing and every day we find other organizations here in Uganda.

AUDACITY VOLUNTEERS UGANDA (AVU) also known as Mother Care Foundation (MCF) is a small charity registered in Uganda, interested in improving and providing high quality education to orphans, children from extreme poor families and children neglected of their right to education in Uganda.

We are operating a kindergarten, 2 elementary schools and a high school. All our schools support orphans and other vulnerable children with over 700 children. We are a community development solution to support our community children

The number of vulnerable children in Africa is multiplying as we speak. Disease, war, and poverty continue to take lives and rip families apart. In Uganda, 2.5 million children are orphaned, and a quarter of kids will not live to their fifteenth birthday.

Kalungu Orphans Support Organisation. – KOSO is developing a different narrative. At our Lyantonde district in the heart of rural Uganda, we daily witness a true and hopeful story filled with smiles and laughter.

Big changes this year!

Looking for a new house

In an internet meeting yesterday Mr. Micheal Kisegerwa, Ms. Beatrice Adikini and Mr. Patrick Kibigiya director of Mr. Philips Mwesi’s orphanage discussed about helping each other for a better future. In fact: “Combining powers!” is the best way to reach our goals. Together we have more knowledge, more hands and more funds.

The first problem we reached was: Transportation costs:

Going to the orphanage, going to the farm, especially, when the farm is several kilometers away, you need to hire a Boda Boda (we would say motorbike) that brings a person to its destination. Although this is not that expensive for us, it is very expensive for people in Uganda. Paying 15.000 UGX (about 4 dollars) per person every 2. day, does not be efficent, especially when it tooks about an hour to go there and you need several people on the field and on the farm to help.

The next thing we talked about: Price to rent a house:

We have the same problem here. All members in the discussion lived in different places not really in the neighborhood. Every members has its own room, has to pay the rental fee, has to walk to the market, buy food, prepare the food, …

And we talked about communication, living, education, helping in the house, internet work, creating social profiles, logos, creating crowdfunding projects …

The result is wonderful

Due to the fact that there isn’t enough money for all of this, we have agreed to look for a house that is big enough to give room to the orphanage, a small office and for all of us. Therefore we are going to rent a house that will fit our needs and will give a new home to the children. (pictures show where they live at the moment) But we need your help to do that.

Further effects

As we started to work as “Support Uganda” and we are going to register this, we created a logo to visualize our basic intention: Support people in Uganda, support children and give them hope! For a few dollars a day everybody can help a child to get clear water, food, education. We want to help and we want to find other people that want to help, too.

The first one we want to help and support is: Mr. Patrick Kibigiya’s organization , that is registered as an CBO (Community based organization). He is a wonderful person and cares very well for his orphanage. But we are going to help him with the chicken farm and growing food on the field. On the other hand we will work together for a better home for the children and to find people who can help with donations.

Helping charity projects in Uganda

We want to create a charity and crowdfunding website for people, schools, orphanages and other social institutions or facilities in Uganda. The service started on the 29th of december 2017. Please be patient with the small information on this website. The first organizations are connected to us, we are still working on content. All the people we work with at the moment are sending information and images about their projects. We have to valuate the information and update this website.

Looking for support in Uganda?

Feel free to use our contact form. We will answer as soon as possible to support your project, too.

You are looking for support in a different country in Africa?

Follow this link: https://www.facebook.com/lovemotherafrica/ to get in conatct with Alliance For Africas Orphanages (AFAO)

Support Uganda Foundation

Our main goal is to bring organizations together and build a charity network for Uganda. With our website we have a platform for all organizations. They can share information and knowledge and if possible even resources through it. Together we can profit from a better social media marketing and working on projects in teams.
